How to correctly use multiple regions

Hi,
I am running chirpstack 4.8.1 and added a region eu868_1 with only the 3 standard channels (some of the used devices don’t support to set the other channels :confused: ). I also kept the region eu868 with 5 extra channels.

I have some devices with the region set to eu868_1 but they seem to work fine using a chirpstack gateway bridge that uses eu868 (mqtt prefix eu868 is used).

So whats the correct configuration here? Should I only use the eu868_1 gateway bridge with this devices? But what about the lora gateway receiving devices that use the eu868 region? Do I need to whitelist the devices?
