Lifetime of session-keys (joined sensor)

Hi,

if a sensor joines a LoRa-WAN network,then a new key is generated and transferred to the node and loraserver.

How long are this keys valid?

If the gateway is down a week (or even longer) and comes then up again, can the (before) joined sensors send anyway or have they to join new?
