Hi everyone,
I’m new to this community and I’m trying to learn and use the amazing ChirpStack system. Currently, I’m working in a development environment on a Windows Server running Docker images, and the system seems to start just fine. However, I’m having trouble adding a new device template—when I try to add a new device in an application, I don’t see the newly added template.
Does anyone have suggestions or insights on how to resolve this?
After creating the profile, I never see it in the Application Device Template Profiles search.
Best regards
You are confused by device-profiles and device-profile-templates. Totally understandable. Device profiles is actually where you should configure the devices settings so you can apply it to a device. Device profile templates are pretty much solely meant to import in a large repository of devices, then convert the ones you need to device profiles.
A guide can be found here:
https://www.chirpstack.io/docs/guides/device-repository-and-metrics.html
But since you already created this one as a device profile template, if you go into your device profiles, create a new one, you should be able to hit the “import from template” button to make it a device profile.
