Can Lorawan packet forwarder and chirpstack be put to sleep?

Packet forwarder and chirpstack are installed on the IMX8M processor. The IMX8M processor has the ability to sleep, but when it sleeps, the packet forwarder or chirpstack loses data or returns a frame counter error. Can we fix this problem? can the gateway be put to sleep?

How would you propose it acts in that situation? If it’s processing network data, isn’t it, by definition, not sleeping?
