Can you switch Tektelic GW from US915 to EU868?

I have a Tektelic Kona Macro 16-channel GW that is for US915 and I was wondering if it’s possible to change the frequencies in config.json to convert it to EU868 for testing purposes?

Normally syslog looks like this:

But when I change config.json for EU868, then it looks like this:

Is what I’m trying to do even possible or do I need to buy an EU868 GW?

I contacted their support and they said:
No, it is not possible since the gateways have different bandpass filters for EU868 as that of US915. You would have to purchase an EU868 if you would like for your testing purposes.
