Chirpstack RAK 2247 gateway never seen/installation issue

I have installed Chirpstack on the RPI compute module using the guide: Debian / Ubuntu - ChirpStack open-source LoRaWAN® Network Server documentation

After creating a new gateway profile on the webserver the device shows as never seen. What should i do to install the RAK2247 gateway?
