Hi, I’ve got hold of one of these old(ish) gateways, and wondered if anyone has much experience with them.
Its currently running firmware 2.0.32 – looks like I can configure the virtual linux on the device to run a packet forwarder on this version…
Or am I better to try to get hold of a later firmware and run the Cisco CPF? Looks like it might be a simpler config.

Both options work. We have them running around 4 years now without problem.
thats good to know! i think i’ll try to get hold of more recent firmware and try that way, but if no luck, good to know that i can get it running with what it has!
any top tips or advice for getting set up, or should it be fairly straightforward?
With CPF enabled no gps data is transmitted, at least no for my gateways
