Creating Device Profile from Template via API

Is it possible to create Device Profiles from Templates via the API? In the documentation I could only find information on how to create brand new Device Profiles.

Manually importing device templates for every tenants seems very tedious and I am wondering if there is an easier way.

There is no special API method for this. The idea is that tenants will be able to create device-profiles based on the existing templates. In the UI this is implemented as:

  • Load template
  • Fill template values into device-profile form
  • User can modify these values
  • User can then create new device-profile
