Disable ADR for specific Device Profile

Hello,
Is it possible to disable ADR in Chirpstack v4 for a specific device profile?
If not, is it possible to disable it per device?

Thank you in advance,
Zissis

Hi ,
ADR is activated (or not) by the device itself (Adaptive data-rate (ADR) - ChirpStack open-source LoRaWAN® Network Server documentation).
So setting ADR to false on the device side should solve the problem.
If you can’t do that (but every device should have this feature), as you can attach an ADR algorithm to a device profile, you may use a custom ADR algorithm that basically does… nothing (ie no change).
Hope this help,

Hello Jerome,
Thank you for your response. Unfortunately our devices do not allow changing the ADR settings.
The reason to disable the ADR is that there seems to be an issue with a specific device of ours that it won’t receive any downlink payloads if the DR is > 0.
In Chirpstack V3 the workaround was to set min and max DR to 0. Is this option available in Chirpstack v4?
Thank you again for taking the time to respond.
Kind regards.

I didn’t do it myself, but it is basically the idea behind the custom ADR algorithm. I think there is an example of skeleton at the bottom of the target link in my initial post.
