Gateway Bridge V4RC1 not compatible to Network Server V3?

Hello, I tried to connect a Gateway Bridge V4RC1 (Ubuntu) to a Network Server V3. But it seems the MQTT packages are somehow different:
The main differences I see, are the gatewayId naming and encoding.
“gatewayID”:“BASE64” for V3
“gatewayId”:“HEX” for V4

Is this an issue of our V3.16.2 Network Server version, or is it never planned to have V4 Gateway Bridge and V3 Server working?

The ChirpStack Gateway Bridge v4 is not backwards compatible with ChirpStack v3. But the latest ChirpStack Gateway Bridge v3 version is forward compatible with ChirpStack v4 :slight_smile:
