Gateway last seen - never seen

I’m having problem where my gateway show last seen never and I noticed when i do

  1. cd chirpstack-docker
  2. sudo docker ps
  3. sudo docker exec -it chirpstack-docker-mosquitto-1 sh
  4. mosquitto_sub -t “#” -v

it doesn’t show any messages.

Any help is kindly appreciated.

Hello,

If I do that, I got this

mosquitto_sub -t "#" -v
eu868/gateway/ac1f09fffe0caacd/state/conn ac1f09fffe0caacd
eu868/gateway/ac1f09fffe0cad1d/state/conn ac1f09fffe0cad1d
eu868/gateway/ac1f09fffe0cadbb/state/conn ac1f09fffe0cadbb
eu868/gateway/ac1f09fffe0cade7/state/conn ac1f09fffe0cade7

 is normal it’s raw binary from grpc

Are you sure if your gateway successfully connected on your broker ?

In your gateway try this after restarting chirpstack-mqtt-forwarder

logread -f -l 50 -e chirpstack-mqtt-forwarder

I got that

Are you using the gateway bridge or the MQTT forwarder? On gateway or on server? Share it’s configuration if it’s on the gateway, otherwise share the gateways UDP forwarder configuration.

Im using the default chirpstack-gateway-bridge

[integration.mqtt.auth.generic]
servers=[“tcp://mosquitto:1883”]
username=“”
password=“”

Sure, but on the server then? What type of gateway are you using? Is your gateways UDP packet forwarder configured to the right endpoint?

If so could be a firewall issue.
