Gpg: keyserver receive failed: End of file

Hi when I’m trying to execute this:
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys 1CE2AFD36DBCCA00
I end up with this error:
gpg: keyserver receive failed: End of file

any ideas please?

Thanks

That sounds like a network issue (e.g. keyserver.ubuntu.com can’t be reached).

Thanks brocaar,
I have checked and reset the network configuration but still getting this error.
Is there another way of getting these keys?

Cheers.

Does this work for you: http://keyserver.ubuntu.com/pks/lookup?op=get&fingerprint=on&search=0x1CE2AFD36DBCCA00?

You can then follow these instructions: http://redcrackle.com/blog/how-add-ubuntu-apt-get-key-behind-firewall.

Thanks again brocaar,

I have followed the instructions and it works, however when i finish and try to start the lora-app-server, i get this:

Hi,
I try this, but in keyserver.ubuntu.com this key is not found.

I had the same issue but it was resolved when I tried different keyserver. Try one among the below keyservers:

  • hkp://ipv4.pool.sks-keyservers.net
  • hkp://pgp.mit.edu
  • hkp://keyserver.pgp.com
