Help with Packet Loss of Data and ADR Algorithm

We are using Chirpstack v3 and we have a situation in one of our sites where there is a huge amount of packet loss. After debugging we figured out most of the sensors are in DR0 even though they are very near to the gateways and even if signal quality is good. So I was wondering if anyone could help me with setting the sensors with higher datarate like DR2 or DR3 so that it reduces airtime and in turn help reduce packet losses. I saw, setting minimum datarate is of not much use as it is not used in ADR, but it was in an old thread, so just checking if we can set it any different ways now. Also, I am open to any other suggestions as well to the problems with packet loss.

There are around 13 gateways in which 8 are currently active. There are 400 sensors of different manufacturers. If anyone has faced similar problems earlier, please help me with a resolution.

ADR addresses the packet loss problem by not only using higher datarates that have less air time, but they enable the strategy for compensating for packet loss: by turning up the repetition rate. To keep the packet reception rate at >95%.

For this to work, ADR must be enabled in both the device (the “ADR” bit in the uplinks must be 1) and enabled at the LNS side. Of course, the device should be LoRaWAN compliant and support ADR…
