I am new to LoRa gateways, I do have knowledge about how it works, but this is my first hand on experience.
I got a Cisco LoRa GW, functions as a Packet Forwarder only…can I use the LoRa server to connect the GW? What do I need to do?

I’m starting to test the same scenario, were you able to connect the Lora Server to the Cisco Gateway?

Yes, it works.
For testing you can use loriot or ttn or thingspark.
The easiest is loriot.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Thank you very much Yahya, we are going to make some tests with the systems that you suggest.

Anyone know the answer? I tried but no way to crack cisco gateway to install another packet-forwarder

I don’t have a Cisco gateawy to test with, but most gateway vendors provide support for the Semtech packet-forwarder. Maybe you could contact Cisco with this question / how to install this?

You can’t upload semtech packet forwarder.

I have not tested this myself, but it seems you can run the Semtech packet-forwarder on the Cisco gateway:
These instructions help you setup the packet-forwarder to forward data to TTN. Instead of using the TTN
server_address, point the
server_address to your LoRa Gateway Bridge instance and you should be up and running
