I’m running Proxmox on an HP T620. Question to other Proxmox users: what did you find the best way to install Chirpstack? I see at least one person running Debian as a VM and then Chirpstack on that, though I am wondering whether that’s the most efficient way to do it.
We did it on our internal server (using Proxmox) with a Debian VM and Docker on it, and it works like a charm. This way, we minimize the maintenance of the Debian instance itself.
Thanks Jerome. I can see that reducing Debian maintenance makes sense in many situations, especially if you’re not too resource-constrained. In my case I’m slightly concerned about the additional overhead compared with running Chirpstack directly in a Debian LXC, but I guess I can try and see what happens.
Hi CNF,
did you managed to run a Chirpstack server directly in a Debian LXC? Is there any public project for it?
Kind regards
Timo
We use chirpstack v4 on linux vm and works great. From a management and scaling perspective its pretty good too.
