I am trying to connect my two RAK4631 nodes to a gateway, but I currently don’t have a physical gateway. Is there a solution, such as a local or virtual gateway, that I could use to test with?

You could use a simulator, but that would not make it possible to connect your physical RAK4631 devices. If you want to connect real devices, you need a real gateway
