In order to better organize the community questions and answers, I would like to explore the idea of migrating to a new community support portal powered by Apache Answer (https://answer.apache.org/). The current platform uses Discourse. Where Discourse out-of-the-box uses categories for categorizing topics (with the option for tags), Apache Answer uses tags out-of-the box for categorization. This should help to keep the questions and answers better organized, especially when a topic / question can not be categorized under a single category.
Before deciding to fully migrate to the new platform, I propose to run the two platforms in parallel for a couple of weeks to validate if the Apache Answer platform is indeed a better choice. If this test goes well, the forum will be put in maintenance mode for a fixed time such that the historic data will be available.
The new platform can be accessed through: https://support.chirpstack.io (for now login is required, if migrated a login is not required to read data). As it is impossible to migrate the forum data over to the new platform, you will need to create a new account. To help kickstart the new platform, I will be available daily to answer any questions asked on the new platform.
I’m looking forward to your feedback!
