I have some SX1303 915M Hats from Waveshare that I am trying to set up as Gateways on Raspberry Pi 4Bs.
Following the instructions from the documentation, I configure Concentratord for SX1303, US915 0-7, and the Gateway ID appears in the OpenWRT interface. There are no errors in the system log. When I go to Chirpstack and configure a Gateway, it appears as online.
However, I have not received any frames on the Gateway. The config light on the SX1303 card is solid and the RX/TX lights are always both dark even with LoRa devices powered up in the vicinity.
Is this what I should be expecting or is there some problem with the configuration?
The fact that it is online shows that the connection from gateway → chirpstack is correct, so likely this is an issue from device → gateway. A few suggestions:
Check the logs on your GW and look for errors.
Ensure you have the antenna installed in the right spot (I’ve made this mistake before).
Ensure your devices are communicating on the same band us915_0.
This is dumb but ensure concentratord is enabled in CS GW OS
It took me some time to figure but Chirpstack and The Things Network don’t label their channel sets the same way so my TTN based node was configured for the wrong channels.
